THE INSPIRATION BEHIND PINK HYDRATION

On October 16, 2017 the mother of my then 7 year old daughter was diagnosed with Lobular Carcinoma, later to be re-diagnosed to have Ductal Carcinoma. The first thought in my mind was denial. I mean how could this happen to the mother of my child who is kind and generous and so not deserving of this disease. The next thought was my daughter. How is this news going to effect her. Do we tell her, do we not tell her and what are we actually dealing with because I had only heard other's stories as there would be no way this could ever happen to the mother of my child.

 

The following dates are etched in my mind forever:

• October 16, 2017 - Diagnosed

• November 13, 2017 - Tumor Cut Out

• January 5, 2018 - Radiation Treatment Begins 5 days per week

• February 7, 2018 - Radiation Treatment Stopped 

• November 13, 2018 - Both Mammogram and Sonogram's are NEGATIVE 

 

What allowed sanity in the household was a community of family and friends who were committed to supporting her and her loved ones throughout this horrible ordeal.

 

What we will be doing at our Pink Hydration Events and Experiences is taking a day each month to simply concentrate on family and not the disease. For one day each month we will take the power away from cancer and empower the family and friends that are driven to find a cure.

Five (5) Years Cancer Free and we are looking forward to YEAR SIX.
